Restringing Your Pearls.

Have you been wondering how to get your pearl jewelry repaired?

Maintaining the string and clasp on your pearl jewelry is essential for the life and security of your pearl jewelry. Here are some of Kristen’s tips on how and where to get your pearls restrung.

How do I know when to get my pearls restrung?

S pearls should be restrung or reknotted every 3 months to 2 years, depending on the frequency of wear.

How can I tell if my pearl jewelry needs to be repaired?

A few quick checks can help you determine if your pearls need to be restrung. If your pearls have space between knots or slide loosely on their string, it is time to have your pearls restrung. Another great reason to have your pearls restrung is if your string has started to yellow or stain. A fresh string can make your piece look like a brand new bracelet or necklace. If the clasp on your pearls is broken, it is almost always necessary to restring and reknot the entire piece.

How much does it cost to have your pearls restrung?

Our prices for repairing pearl and beaded jewelry can range between $3.00-$6.00 an inch. Prices depend on the complexity of work and the size of pearls.
